Mahindra BE 6 is expected to get a triple-screen dashboard. The electric SUV could also receive a refreshed cabin. Battery packs and powertrain options are likely to remain unchanged.
Mahindra is preparing a feature update for the BE 6, one of its popular electric SUVs. Instead of a facelift, the SUV is expected to receive a model year update with new features and interior changes.
The biggest highlight is expected to be a triple-screen dashboard, similar to the one already offered in the XEV 9e and XEV 9S. The updated BE 6 is also likely to get a refreshed cabin and a few usability improvements.
The current Mahindra BE 6 comes with two 12.3-inch displays for the driver and infotainment system. With the update, Mahindra is expected to add a third 12.3-inch screen for the front passenger. This will give the BE 6 a full-width dashboard layout similar to the brand's flagship electric SUVs. The new setup is expected to make the cabin look more premium while also helping the BE 6 compete with newer rivals such as the Tata Sierra EV, which also offers a three-screen layout.

Mahindra is also expected to make a few changes to the cabin layout. The current centre console has a beam that separates the driver and passenger areas. While it gives the cabin a sporty look, it also makes it difficult for the front passenger to access the wireless charger and USB ports. The updated model is expected to get a revised cockpit design to improve everyday usability.
Another expected change is a new black and tan interior theme, replacing the current black and grey colour scheme. Mahindra could also introduce a few new connected car and technology features, although the company has not shared any official details yet.
The updates are expected to be limited to features, with no mechanical changes planned. The Mahindra BE 6 will likely continue with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options. The 59 kWh version produces 231 PS and 380 Nm, while offering a MIDC-certified range of 548 km.
The larger 79 kWh battery pack is available with up to 285 PS and 380 Nm, with a claimed range of 683 km. All variants are expected to continue with features such as single-pedal drive, adjustable regenerative braking and multiple drive modes.
Mahindra has not officially announced when the updated BE 6 will arrive. The new features could be offered across the entire lineup or may be limited to the higher variants.
The update is also expected to bring a small price increase over the current model, which is priced between Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). With a more premium cabin and additional technology, the updated Mahindra BE 6 will look to strengthen its position against rivals such as the Tata Sierra EV and Hyundai Creta Electric.
