Mahindra has created history by crossing the 1 lakh mark in total sales for the first time in September 2025. According to the auto sales report data for September 2025, the company’s total sales grew by an impressive 16%, driven by festive season demand and the positive impact of GST 2.0.
The Mahindra sales report for September 2025 reveals that the company’s domestic sales surged to 95,978 units, reflecting an 11% year-on-year increase. This increase is a result of growing demand in both the passenger and commercial vehicle segments.

In the passenger vehicle category, Mahindra's utility vehicles led the charge. With 56,233 units sold in September, the segment witnessed a solid 10% growth compared to the 51,062 units sold in the same month last year. This success reflects Mahindra's strong position in the SUV market, backed by customer loyalty and high demand for its offerings.
The commercial vehicle segment also posted impressive results, with a total of 26,728 units sold, up 18% from the previous year. Particularly noteworthy was the performance of medium-duty commercial vehicles (2–3.5 tonnes), which saw a 21% increase, totaling 23,342 units. On the other hand, sales of light commercial vehicles (under 2 tonnes) saw a minor dip of 2%, at 3,386 units.
Mahindra’s electric three-wheeler sales surged by 30%, with a total of 13,017 units sold in September 2025. This growth reflects the growing consumer interest in electric vehicles, a trend that is expected to continue as the country embraces cleaner alternatives in transport.
Mahindra’s export sales saw an impressive 43% increase in September 2025, with the company shipping 4,320 units compared to 3,020 units in the same month last year. This marks a clear growth trajectory in Mahindra’s global presence, as the company expands its footprint in international markets.
In total, Mahindra’s sales figures for September 2025 reached 100,298 units, including both domestic and export sales. This marks a 16% increase over last year’s figure of 86,578 units, making September 2025 a record month for the company. The total sales figure of over 1 lakh units is a significant milestone for Mahindra in its ongoing efforts to strengthen its position in the automotive industry.
