The much-awaited new Mahindra XUV 3XO compact SUV will be revealed on April 29, 2024. Ahead of the launch, the automaker has released multiple teasers of the SUV revealing its exterior and interior details. While Mahindra is yet to start accepting pre-orders for the XUV 3XO, interested customers can book the SUV as some dealerships across India have started accepting bookings.
The new XUV 3XO comes with a revised styling and a more premium interior. In terms of styling, the SUV gets a gloss black finish grille, redesigned headlamps, new alloy wheels, a connected LED tail-lamp and a re-styled tailgate design. The SUV comes with a completely new dashboard layout, which seems identical to the XUV400 EV. It is fitted with a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment unit, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, dual-zone climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, powered driver's seat and wireless phone charging.
The new XUV 3XO is likely to be equipped with Level 2 ADAS tech with features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist and others. For safety and security, the compact SUV will come with up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), and others. If reports are to be believed, the SUV could be offered in 4 trim levels - MX, AX, AX5 and AX7. Similar to the XUV700, the AX7 trim will have L (Luxury Pack) and Pro versions.
The new Mahindra XUV 3XO is likely to be offered with existing engine options including a 108bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol, a 128bhp, 1.2L T-GDI turbo petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5L diesel. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (Turbo Petrol). This compact SUV will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and others.
