Mercedes-AMG GT & SL Facelifts Spotted - Design and Engine Updates Expected

AMG GT & SL facelift spotted New design tweaks incoming Engine updates expected

The facelifted versions of the Mercedes-AMG GT and Mercedes-AMG SL have been spotted testing internationally.

These updates are expected to bring subtle design tweaks, new technology and some important mechanical changes.

Subtle Design Updates Expected

Most of the changes are likely to be focused on the front end. The updated models could feature new DRLs with the signature three-pointed star design, in line with newer Mercedes-Benz cars.

At the rear, the cars are expected to get redesigned tail-lights with the same three-pointed star pattern.

Interestingly, the test vehicles were not heavily camouflaged at the rear, suggesting that the overall design will remain largely unchanged with only minor cosmetic updates.

Cabin to Get Minor Enhancements

Inside, the changes are expected to be limited. Both models could get the updated MB.OS system along with new upholstery options.

Mercedes is also likely to offer more MANUFAKTUR customisation options, allowing buyers to personalise their cars further.

Engine Updates on the Cards

One of the biggest changes could be under the hood. The entry-level four-cylinder engine is expected to be replaced by more powerful inline-six units.

Mercedes-Benz is also moving towards mild electrification to meet stricter emission norms, while still retaining performance-focused engines like inline-six and V8 options.

What About India?

For the Indian market, the AMG GT could arrive as a limited-run high-performance version, possibly the Black Series.

The AMG SL, on the other hand, could get a power boost from its V8 engine in the facelifted version.
