Virtus facelift spotted testing New design and feature upgrades coming 8-speed automatic gearbox confirmed
Volkswagen has been spotted testing the facelifted version of the Volkswagen Virtus, hinting at an upcoming launch later this year.
The new model is expected to bring a mix of design changes, feature upgrades, and mechanical improvements to stay competitive in the segment.

Spy shots suggest that the Virtus facelift will get a revised front and rear design.
Up front, the sedan is likely to feature updated headlamps, a redesigned grille, and a sharper bumper. At the rear, new tail lamps and a tweaked bumper design are expected.
New alloy wheels will also be part of the update, giving the car a more modern and sporty stance.
Inside, the facelifted Virtus is expected to receive a noticeable upgrade.
It could get a new infotainment system with an updated operating system, along with a refreshed digital instrument cluster.
One of the standout additions could be a segment-first rear seat massage function, aimed at improving passenger comfort.
A major highlight of the update will be the introduction of a new gearbox.
The 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine will now be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, replacing the current 6-speed unit.
This engine produces around 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque and will continue to be offered with a 6-speed manual option as well.

The updated Virtus will continue to rival cars like the Hyundai Verna, which has already raised the bar in the segment.
The Verna offers features such as a 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS, which are not expected on the Virtus at launch.
This means Volkswagen may focus on pricing and variant strategy to stay competitive.
