MINI India has started accepting pre-launch bookings for the upcoming new MINI Convertible. The convertible is scheduled to be launched in India in December 2025. The company has recently launched the new MINI Countryman SE ALL4 EV, and the Convertible will be the second MINI to launch before the end of this year.
The new MINI Convertible has a fully electric soft top that opens in just 18 seconds. It shares the design with the Cooper S hatchback, but the biggest difference is the electric soft-top roof. The roof can be fully opened or shut at speeds of up to 30kmph.

Design highlights include circular LED headlamps, round daytime running lamps and a signature octagonal grille finished in black along with the ’S’ badge. The convertible rides on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the lower sections get black body cladding.
At the back, the Convertible gets the LED tail-lamps with Union Jack detailing. Other design highlights include dual-tone bumpers and the centrally placed MINI badge.
The 2026 MINI Convertible gets a 9.4-inch Android-based OLED touchscreen that also works as the digital instrument panel, and pill-shaped air vents. MINI will offer customisable interior themes to add premium feel. It will come with electrically adjustable front seats, a Harman Kardon audio system, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, a heads-up display, a wireless charging pad and a reverse camera.
Powering the new MINI Convertible is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 204hp and 300Nm of torque. It is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
