Tata Motors has showcased the Avinya X concept at the Auto Expo 2025. The company has announced to launch its Avinya luxury electric brand in the country. Under the luxury electric brand, Tata Motors will introduce a new Sportback and an all-new SUV. Speaking to AutoCar India, Martin Uhlarik, Tata Motors Global Design Head, said that an all-new 5-door Sportback will be the first model to be launched under the Avinya electric brand.
The report claims that the styling of the Sportback is similar to the first concept. In fact, the design of the Sportback is finished and the Avinya Sportback will be launched in the country in 2026. Tata Motors is aiming to grab eyeballs with its first product under its new luxury electric car brand. It is reported that the company is planning to produce around 24,000 units of the premium Avinya electric Sportback per annum.
After the Sportback, Tata Motors will introduce an all-new luxury SUV based on the Avinya X concept debuted at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The new model could be offered with 5, 6 and 7-seat layout. The 7-seater model will be the flagship model in the Avinya electric brand line-up. The report claims that the new Avinya electric cars are likely to be based on JLR's EMA platform. The company is also reportedly developing two more body styles - a 4.4 meter long SUV and a larger 4.9 meter luxury UV.
Tata Motors has also showcased the Sierra ICE and the production-ready Harrier EV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. In fact, the production-ready Sierra will look similar to the model showcased at the event. It will be offered with petrol, diesel and electric powertrain options.
The Tata Harrier EV is likely to be launched by March 2025. It will come with a dual-motor setup to offer 4WD system. The electric SUV is likely to be packed with a 75kWh battery pack. The SUV is expected to offer a certified range of over 500km on a single charge.
