Tata Safari EV launch expected by early 2027 Safari ICE and EV to share triple screen dashboard with Sierra
Tata Motors is preparing to launch the Safari EV as its first 3-row electric SUV in the Indian market. The company is also giving a mid-life facelift to its ICE-powered Safari. Both these SUVs will adopt a triple screen dashboard setup, which we have already seen on the Tata Sierra. This multi-display layout directly positions the Safari family against the Mahindra XEV 9S.
The newly designed dashboard integrates three distinct high-resolution displays spanning the width of the dashboard.
- Digital Instrument Console (10.25-inch): a driver’s display that shows speedometer readings, navigation maps, ADAS alerts, and EV power-flow metrics.
- Central infotainment unit (12.3-inch): this is the primary infotainment unit running Tata’s updated Arc.os software with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and connected car settings. This system can also handle media playback and dual-zone climate control.
- Front passenger entertainment screen (12.3-inch): this screen allows the front passenger to view media, monitor trip navigation, stream videos or adjust controls independently without distracting the driver.
While both versions will share the upgraded cabin architecture and styling, their powertrains will be completely different and serve distinct buyer preferences:
