The VinFast VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs will finally go on sale in the country in August 2025. The company is currently setting up its dealer infra, and its first dealership has recently been opened in Piplod, Surat, Gujarat. In a bid to create awareness around its new EVs, VinFast is showcasing the new VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs at shopping malls across India.
VinFast India has confirmed that it will have dealership network across 27 cities before the end of this year. Bookings for the new VinFast VF6 and VF7 are already begins across India, while deliveries are expected to begin closer to Diwali - around Sept-Oct, 2025.
The VinFast VF6 is a 4.2 meters long SUV, which makes it a direct rival to Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric and others in the category. VinFast is yet to reveal the exact powertrains of the India-spec VF6. In the international markets, the VF6 is available in two variants - Eco and Plus - both featuring a 59.6kWh battery. The Eco variant offers a range of 410km, while the Plus variant delivers 379km on a single charge.

The VF7 will act as a halo product for the Vietnamese EV manufacturer in India. It is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 40-45 lakh. The electric SUV will rival the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and BYD Sealion 7. It is packed with a 70.8kWh battery pack with a front-axle-mounted electric motor. The electric SUV offers a WLTP claimed range of 450km on a single charge.
