BMW has launched the new 3 Series Long Wheelbase SUV in the Indian market. Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, the 2025 BMW 3 Series LWB is available in the petrol variant, 330Li M Sport priced at Rs 62.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India). BMW has confirmed that the diesel variant of the LWB sedan will arrive at a later date.
The sedan looks largely identical to the standard 3 Series, featuring signature BMW design elements. It comes with BMW kidney grille and twin circular headlights. As standard, the sedan gets adaptive LED headlights with projector lamps featuring cornering light functions.
The new BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase measures 4819mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2961mm. It is the longest car in the category and claims to offer the most spacious 2nd row seat. The rear diffuser is finished in High Gloss Black finish, giving it a bold and premium design.
The cabin trim strips is finished in the new Aluminium Rhombicle Anthracite, while the electrically adjustable front seats get extendable thigh support. The 3 Series LWB comes with BMW Widescreen Curved Display, standard-fitted M leather steering wheel, large Panorama sunroof, ambient lighting with six dimmable designs, 3-zone climate control with active carbon filters and others.
The new BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase is only available with a petrol engine. It gets the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TwinPower turbo petrol engine that produces 258hp and a peak torque of 400Nm. This engine is paired to an 8-speed steptronic sport automatic gearbox. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 6.2 seconds.
The 3 Series Long Wheelbase comes with steering wheel paddle shifters and cruise control with braking function. Using Launch Control, drivers can achieve maximum acceleration with optimized traction from a standstill. It also comes with 3 driving modes - ECO PRO, Comfort and Sport.
The sedan has BMW Digital Key Plus features, which automatically unlock the doors as soon as the driver approaches the car. The BMW 3 Series LWB comes with Park Assistant Plus with Surround View Camera, which makes parking in tight sports easier by taking over acceleration, braking as well as steering. BMW Driving Assistant provides Blind Spot Detection and helps warn the driver for lane changes, front collisions, and rear collisions.
For safety and security, the new 3 Series LWB gets six airbags, attentiveness assistance, dynamic stability control including cornering brake control, electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, and electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor.
