Mahindra begins testing Scorpio N facelift. Expect new design, tech-rich interior, and ADAS features. Engine options likely to remain the same.
Mahindra has reportedly begun work on the facelift version of its popular SUV, the Scorpio N. Although there has been no official confirmation yet, a camouflaged test mule of the upcoming model has been spotted testing on public roads, hinting that the company is preparing for a major update.

Based on the spy shots, the Scorpio N facelift looks largely similar from the sides and rear. The overall body shape and signature Scorpion-tail window line remain unchanged. However, since the front wasn’t visible in the pictures, it’s expected that the most noticeable changes will appear there.
The facelifted Scorpio N could feature a new grille design, revised bumpers, updated LED headlights, and a fresh DRL signature for a bolder look. These upgrades will likely give the SUV a sportier and more premium road presence.
Inside, Mahindra is expected to make noticeable improvements. Reports suggest the facelifted Scorpio N may come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, and possibly a panoramic sunroof, a first for the model.
In addition, Mahindra might switch its audio system supplier from Sony to Harman Kardon, as seen with the upcoming XUV700 facelift. This could mean improved sound quality and an enhanced in-cabin experience.
Currently, the ADAS suite (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is exclusive to the top-end Z8L trim. With the facelift, Mahindra is expected to expand ADAS availability to more variants, offering a wider range of buyers access to safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist.
Under the hood, the facelifted Scorpio N is likely to retain its current 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines. These powertrains produce 200 bhp / 370 Nm and 172 bhp / 370 Nm, respectively. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will continue, along with 4WD variants for off-road enthusiasts.
While Mahindra hasn’t announced any launch date yet, the Scorpio N facelift is expected to debut sometime in mid to late 2026. Given its strong popularity and loyal fan base, this update could further boost sales for Mahindra in the competitive SUV segment.
