The homegrown automaker, Mahindra will give major upgrades to its popular SUV line-up before the end of this year. The brand’s top-sellers, including the XUV700, Thar 3-door and Bolero in their facelifted avatar have been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. Moreover, the Bolero Neo will also get a new lease of life as the updated model is ready to be launched in the country.

Both lifestyle SUVs have been caught testing multiple times, revealing interesting details. Our sources confirm that these two SUVs in their upgraded form will be introduced this week. The new Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift will receive significant design and interior changes inspired by the Thar Roxx. The front will have a new grille, signature round LED projector headlamp unit and a revised lower bumper. The SUV will get new LED tail-lights and new 5-spoke alloys.
Inside the cabin, the Thar 3-door facelift will get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The power window switch control panel will be positioned on the door panels instead of the centre console. The engine options will remain the same, a 1.5L diesel, a 2.2L diesel and a 2.0L turbo petrol.
The Bolero Neo facelift is expected to receive several major interior changes. It is likely to get a revised dashboard layout, featuring a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless connectivity. On the outside, the SUV could get a modified grille with prominent horizontal slats, and a new lower bumper that houses a revised air intake with horizontal slats. It will continue to be offered with the 1.5L, 3-cylinder mHawk 100 turbo diesel engine that produces 100hp and 260Nm of torque. Transmission choices could include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit.
The hugely popular, the Mahindra Bolero will receive a major upgrade to celebrate its 25 years in the country. The SUV has been spotted testing for the first time, suggesting that launch could take place in near future. The spied vehicle was completely covered in thick cloth, but it reveals key details. The overall design including the front fascia, bumper shape, glass area and rear profile appears identical to the current model, which we feel is a good thing.
The SUV is likely to get a revised front grille, new body graphics and reworked bumpers. The cabin is likely to receive major changes in the form of a new touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support and auto climate control. The SUV is likely to get 6 airbags as standard, front and rear armrest, rear AC vents, and new upholstery.
It is likely to be powered by the same 1.5L mHawk 75 Turbo diesel engine that produces 75hp and 210Nm of torque, and paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The hugely popular Mahindra XUV700 will receive its first major upgrade by December 2025. The SUV will receive cosmetic design and interior changes along with a longer list of features. It will come with a triple screen set-up comprising an infotainment unit, a digital instrument panel and a co-passenger entertainment screen.
The XUV700 facelift will come with auto-dimming IRVM, LEVEL 2+ ADAS with front parking sensors, and auto park assist. It is likely to get new Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, a 6-seater version with captain seats in second-row, ventilated second-row seats, etc. The XUV700 facelift will continue to be offered with a 2.2L turbo diesel and a 2.0L turbo petrol engine.
