Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its first electric vehicle in India, the e Vitara, on December 2, 2025. The new EV will sport a sleek design with LED projector headlights, a bold Y-shaped DRL, and wraparound LED taillights. Inside, it will feature a high-tech cabin with a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display. Notable features include a fixed glass roof, Infinity sound system, ventilated seats, and a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat. For safety, it will come equipped with 6 airbags and Level 2 ADAS. The e Vitara will offer two battery options - 49 kWh and 61 kWh, with a range of over 500 km. Prices are expected to range between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 22.50 lakh.

Tata Harrier Petrol will make its debut on December 9, 2025, featuring a new engine under Tata’s Hyperion engine family. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged direct-injection engine will deliver 170 hp and 280 Nm of torque, offering improved performance over its diesel counterpart. The Harrier Petrol will be available in both manual and automatic transmissions, with prices expected to start from Rs 13–14 lakh.
This new variant will continue to offer the premium features found in the diesel model, such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and a 360-degree camera. Additionally, the Level-2 ADAS suite will ensure safety, making it a strong competitor to models like the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos.

Alongside the Harrier, Tata will also launch the Tata Safari Petrol on December 9, 2025. This variant will share the same Hyperion 1.5-litre turbocharged engine as the Harrier, producing 170 hp and 280 Nm of torque. With a starting price of Rs 15–16 lakh (ex-showroom), the Safari Petrol is expected to be more affordable than its diesel version and compete with rivals like the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector Plus.
The Safari Petrol will maintain the spacious 6 or 7-seater configuration, offering premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and the same Level-2 ADAS suite, making it an attractive option for those looking for a spacious and feature-packed SUV.

Kia is all set to unveil the New-Gen Kia Seltos in December 2025, with a global debut scheduled for December 10. The 2026 Kia Seltos will sport a bold redesign, including the new "Digital Tiger Face" grille and flush door handles. Inside, the Seltos will feature a dual 12.3-inch screen setup and an upgraded Level 2 ADAS suite.
The new-gen Seltos will be available with the same engine options as before, including the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Transmission choices will include manual, iMT, CVT, and automatic options. With prices expected to range from Rs 11.30 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, the New Kia Seltos is set to compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
These four major SUV launches in December 2025 – Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Tata Harrier Petrol, Tata Safari Petrol, and New-Gen Kia Seltos, will offer a variety of choices for SUV enthusiasts in India. Whether you’re looking for a more affordable option like the Harrier Petrol, a redesigned classic like the Seltos, or a spacious family SUV like the Safari Petrol, these new car launches in India 2025 are sure to shake up the market. Keep an eye out for their official launches in the coming weeks!
