Tata cars to get expensive from July 1, 2026 Both ICE and EV prices to increase by up to 1.5 per cent
Tata Motors has announced that it will increase prices of its passenger vehicle portfolio, including both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EV), by up to 1.5%, effective 1 July 2026.
In an official statement, Tata Motors said, “This price revision is being undertaken to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and sustained inflationary pressures. While TMPV continues to absorb a significant portion of these increases, a part of the impact is being passed on to customers through this adjustment.”
The extent of the price increase will vary across models and variants, ensuring that the overall value proposition of each offering is maintained.
Tata Motors is the latest automaker to join others in raising vehicle prices. All the brands clearly stated that the prices are increased to offset higher raw material costs and inflationary pressures affecting the industry. Automakers claim that these price increases are due to combination of factors that have affected production costs throughout the year. The factors include rising input costs for steel, aluminium, rubber, lithium-ion cells, and semiconductors along with operational costs from logistics and supply chain pressures.
