Latest Global NCAP safety crash tests show that the Honda City (4th generation), Renault Kiger, Honda Jazz and Nissan Magnite are safer cars in the Indian automobile market when it comes to their Safety Ratings.
Under its current programme ‘Safer Cars For India’, Global NCAP safety crash tests have reached a milestone of 50 Indian car models to be tested under this campaign. Recently there were four cars that were tested for Safety Ratings and their names include the 4th Generation Honda City, Renault Kiger, Honda Jazz and Nissan Magnite.
Honda City: The 4th generation of the Honda City was tested recently and was found to achieve a 4 Stars Safety Rating for both adult and child occupant protection. The car that was tested came fitted with 2 front airbags, ISOFIX anchorages and ABS. During the test it was found that the vehicle had an unstable structure and footwell area. It offered good child occupant protection courtesy ISOFIX anchorages and the rearward facing position of one of the child dummies placed in the four-wheeler.
