Honda 0 Alpha concept based electric SUV reveal on 2nd December It will rival the Tata Sierra EV To be manufactured locally at Honda's Tapukara facility in Rajasthan
Honda Cars India will reveal the production version of the all-new electric SUV based on the Honda 0 ALPHA (Asian Compact Electric) concept on December 2, 2026. Manufactured locally at Honda’s Tapukara facility in Rajasthan for both domestic sales and global exports, the midsize e-SUV marks Honda’s entry into the Indian EV market. The new Honda 0 Alpha EV based SUV will directly rival the Tata Sierra EV, Hyundai Creta EV, and Mahindra BE 6.
First showcased as a prototype at the Japan Mobility Show in October 2025, the Honda 0 Alpha EV is currently undergoing extensive real-world testing across India, including high-altitude testing in Manali and rough-road validation around Tapukara.
Upright SUV Stance: The EV features a boxy silhouette, flat bonnet, squared-off wheel arches, and an upright tailgate.
Modern Lighting Signature: the 0 ALPHA EV comes with full-width horizontal LED light bars at the front and vertically arranged LED tail-lamp clusters at the rear.
Aerodynamic Wheels: the SUV is expected to ride on 18-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels aimed at reducing drag and extending highway driving range.
The new Honda EV will have a clean interior layout built around Honda’s “Man Maximum, Machine Minimum” design philosophy:
Dual Digital Displays: A landscape-oriented central touchscreen paired with a standalone digital instrument console.
Flat Floor Advantage: Thanks to its dedicated EV platform, the Honda 0 Alpha EV cabin offers a flat floor structure, maximising rear-seat knee room and legroom.
Cabin Features: the electric SUV is expected to offer features like ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic glass roof, wireless smartphone connectivity, and Honda Sensing Level 2 ADAS.
