Hyundai Creta Electric Now Rs 7 Lakh Cheaper – Here’s How

Hyundai Creta Electric gets BaaS, prices drop by Rs 7 lakh. New wall charger, side steps added, while battery options unchanged.

Hyundai Motor India has introduced the Creta Electric with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) rental scheme, under which the prices of the EV exclude the battery cost. Buyers will have to pay a nominal fee of Rs 3.90 per kilometre driven. The BaaS scheme significantly lowers the initial acquisition cost and the per kilometre expense. However, the carmaker is yet to reveal the variant-wise BaaS prices.

Hyundai Creta Electric BaaS Prices

With the BaaS, the Creta Electric is now available at a starting price of Rs 18.03 lakh, making it around Rs 7 lakh more affordable the standard version with the battery included. The top-end variant is now priced at Rs 24.70 lakh (ex-showroom).

What’s More?

Additionally, the 2026 Hyundai Creta Electric is now available with a 7.4kW AC wall box charger for the HC variants. The EV also comes equipped with a side step, ensuring ingress and egress easier.

Other Key Details

The Hyundai Creta Electric is currently available with two battery pack options, 42kWh and 51.4kWh, delivering a claimed range of 420km and 510km per charge. It has a front-axle mounted electric motor that powers the front wheels. The Long-Range version produces power worth 171bhp and 255Nm of torque, while the smaller battery is paired with a 135bhp electric motor.

The larger battery pack can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 58 minutes by using a DC fast charger. With an 11kW AC home charger, it takes 4.5 hours to charge from 10 to 100 percent.
