Hyundai Motor India has inaugurated Public 120 kW DC fast-charging stations in New Delhi on World EV Day 2026. The new charging stations will offer EV users convenient access to fast-charging facilities, helping reduce charging time and enhancing confidence in electric vehicle ownership. By strengthening public charging availability in the National Capital Region, HMIL continues to contribute towards building a robust EV charging network for customers and the broader EV community.


Recognising that the transition to electric mobility extends beyond the introduction of new products, HMIL is fostering a robust electric mobility ecosystem in India. Hyundai is expanding access to reliable, high-speed charging infrastructure while simultaneously promoting EV awareness and skill development initiatives to support the growing demand for specialized capabilities in the electric mobility sector.

Hyundai Motor India is currently selling the Creta Electric and Ioniq 5 in the electric passenger vehicle category. The company is preparing to launch an all-new locally developed compact electric SUV before the end of this year. Before introducing new EV, Hyundai is aiming to increase its charging infrastructure across major cities. 


The new 120 kW DC fast-chargers in Delhi can be accessed through myHyundai app and other major charging-management applications. These DC fast EV charging station infrastructure in Delhi is being established in partnership with Statiq. As a special World EV Day initiative, Hyundai EV owners can avail complimentary charging from September 9 to September 11, 2026, across HMIL-owned public charging stations by accessing them through myHyundai app. 


Currently, Hyundai operates 185 DC fast-charging stations across 105 cities and plans to scale its proprietary network to 600 stations by 2030 across key cities, highways and Hyundai dealerships. Its DC fast-charging solutions range from 60 kW to 240 kW, supporting convenient and efficient charging for EV users.
