JSW plans multiple SUVs with EV and hybrid tech. New models to rival Fortuner, Nexon EV, and Creta Electric. Mix of premium, mid-size, and affordable electric SUVs coming.
JSW Motors is preparing for a strong entry into the Indian car market. The company is expected to bring a range of new SUVs over the next few years, focusing on electric and hybrid technology.
These upcoming models will be based on global products from Chery and its sub-brands, and they aim to compete across multiple popular segments in India.
One of the first models could be based on the Jetour T2. This will be a large SUV, designed to compete with established models like the Toyota Fortuner.
It is expected to come with a plug-in hybrid setup, offering an electric-only range of around 139 km. The launch could happen as early as September this year.

JSW is also planning multiple electric SUVs for India. A compact model based on the Jaecoo J5 could arrive by 2027, targeting buyers looking for an alternative to the Hyundai Creta Electric. It is expected to offer a driving range of around 461 km.
Another interesting model will be inspired by the iCar V23, which is known for its rugged and retro design. This SUV could come with both single and dual motor setups, offering a range between 360 km and 430 km.
In the mid-size segment, JSW is likely to introduce a hybrid SUV based on the Jaecoo J7. It is expected to come with hybrid and plug-in hybrid options, putting it against upcoming electrified SUVs like the Kia Seltos Hybrid.
Apart from premium and mid-size models, JSW is also working on a more affordable electric SUV based on the Chery Q. This model could rival the MG Windsor EV and may offer a range of around 400 km. It is expected to arrive by 2028.
