Kia Carens Crosses 3 Lakh Sales as Clavis EV Gains Momentum

Kia Carens family crosses the 3 lakh sales mark. Clavis EV brings an electric option to the lineup. Petrol remains the top choice among buyers.

Kia India has announced that the Carens family has crossed 3 lakh sales in the country. The milestone comes after the company expanded the lineup with the Carens Clavis and the recently launched Carens Clavis EV, giving buyers more options than before.

The Carens has been one of Kia's most popular models in India since its launch. With petrol, diesel and now electric versions, it continues to attract family car buyers.

Carens Family Now Has More Choices

The Carens range has grown over the years. Along with the regular Carens, buyers can now choose the Carens Clavis, which offers a fresh design and more features. Kia has also launched the Carens Clavis EV, bringing an all-electric option for buyers who want lower running costs without giving up space and practicality. Today, the Carens family is available with petrol, diesel and electric powertrains.

Clavis EV Adds an Electric Option

The Carens Clavis EV is available with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs. The smaller battery offers a claimed range of 404 km, while the larger battery can travel up to 490 km on a full charge. Kia also says the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 39 minutes using a fast charger. The electric MPV is available in both 6-seat and 7-seat layouts, making it suitable for different family needs.

Petrol Leads the Sales Mix

Kia has also shared how buyers are choosing different powertrain options. According to the company, 60 percent of Carens sales come from petrol models. Diesel variants account for 30 percent, while electric models contribute 10 percent. This shows that petrol is still the first choice for most buyers, while interest in EVs is also growing.

Buyers Are Choosing Top Variants

Kia says many customers are choosing higher variants with more features. About 18 percent of buyers have opted for top-spec models that come with extra safety features, connected car technology and more comfort features.

Kia Expands Its Network

Kia is also growing its sales and service network across India. The company now has a presence in 407 cities with 892 sales and service touchpoints, making it easier for customers to buy and service their vehicles. Speaking on the milestone, Sunhack Park, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said the Carens has become an important model for the brand and that crossing 3 lakh sales reflects the trust customers have placed in it.
