Kia Carens is among one of the popular MPVs in India and has been a great contributor to the brand's overall sales. There have been reports of this MPV getting a facelift version which has been recently spied on as well. This test mule suggests that we are likely to see the car debut soon. As for now, through the disguised test mule, we see at the top of the car a panoramic sunroof. Let's go through what more we can expect with the facelift version.
There are some key expectations as to what the design elements might offer. For the Carens Facelift, the car is likely to come with a panoramic sunroof, revised front fascia, new lighting elements, and an updated rear section. The test mule of the facelift was spied wearing heavy camouflage, so there are only some potential changes that we can make from it.
Also, the lighting setup is expected to get a striking makeover, as seen with Kia’s newer models such as EV5. At the back, Carens facelift would be switching to vertically stacked taillamps, as there are hints of an interconnecting LED strip as well.
For the features, it is likely to get level-2 ADAS and a luxury rear package which could include a powered left rear seat with ventilation.
The facelift version of Carens will be continuing the existing powertrain options that are a 1.5-litre petrol engine (112bhp and 144 Nm of torque), a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit (167 bhp and 253 Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel (113 bhp and 250 Nm).
