Korean automaker Kia has revealed the India-spec Carnival 3-row MPV for the Indian market. Scheduled to be launched on October 3, the new Kia Carnival will be a 7-seater model and will come as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU). It will be launched alongside the brand's upcoming flagship Kia EV9 electric SUV.

Kia Motors India will introduce the facelifted version of the fourth-gen Carnival MPV, which debuted in global markets in November last year. For people not in the know, Kia had showcased the 4th generation Carnival as a KA4 concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new Kia Carnival features the brand's new design language, which offers a sharper exterior design. It retains the boxier design with clean surfaces on side and rear.
The front has the signature 'Tiger Nose' grille with L-shaped LED daytime running lamps. It rides on newly styled 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear also has the L-shaped theme with an LED light bar connecting the tail-lamps. There is a silver chrome bar on the C-pillar that merges with the chrome garnish on the bottom of the rear windscreen. Also See - Kia Carens - All Details

Compared to the previous model, the new model offers 1Nm less torque and 7hp less power. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via an 8-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
The new Carnival MPV will go on sale in the country on October 3, 2024. The Kia Carnival will be offered in two variants - Limousine and Limousine Plus. To be introduced as a fully imported model, the new 7-seater MPV is likely to cost above Rs 50 lakh. The company could start local assembly of the new Carnival at a later stage. It won't have a direct rival in our market. In fact, the new Kia Carnival will be introduced as a more premium alternative to the Toyota Innova Hycross.
