To be showcased at the Busan Motor Show 2022; Gets ADAS features; Will offer revised styling
KIA’s first product for the Indian market, the Seltos is set to undergo a major facelift soon. The compact SUV has been a leader with many segment-first features since its launch and the facelifted model will be no different. Here is everything that is expected to change on the new model.
At the front, the four-wheeler will get a subtle update in terms of new headlamp units with LED DRLs, a larger air dam and a more pronounced faux skid plate. The SUV will also sport a larger grille giving more girth to the front fascia. Moving to the sides, we can expect the car to come equipped with new design alloy wheels while the changes at the rear are limited to a new set of LED taillamps that extend the width of the vehicle.
On the inside, the overall dashboard layout remains the same while the colours and equipment will be changed. The changes on the interior include a new curved 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new HVAC control unit and the all-digital instrument cluster. The official images released showcase two interior themes namely all-black and dual-tone black and brown.
Safety has taken the driver seat in terms of updates on the new Seltos. The compact SUV is expected to come with ADAS features along with 6-airbags as standard. This is keeping in mind the government safety mandate set to arrive by the end of 2022.
The Korean automaker is expected to continue with the current crop of engine and transmission options with the updated model to help keep costs in check. So, we will see a 1.5-litre diesel, 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine options mated to a choice of manual, iMT and DCT transmission choices.
The company is set to bring the Seltos Facelift and launch it in the country during the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo.
