Ligier, an automobile brand from France, is all set to introduce its small electric car named Ligier Myli to the Indian market. The small electric SUV has already been caught testing on the Indian roads, suggesting a near launch. It could be India's cheapest electric car, competing against the MG Comet EV. Let's talk in detail about the Ligier Myli -
Ligier Myli is a small electric, two-door car having distinct elements within its design. Round headlamp assembly and circular LED-sourced DRLs are another features. A two-door car, this will not be too much bigger and very city-friendly. It already boasts launched inside Europe with this eccentric looks and modern simplicity.
The Myli is as long as 2,958 mm long, 1,499 mm in width without the help of mirrors, and its height is at 1,541 mm. Of course, it is smaller in footprint but never shabby with an amazing good appearance, big wheel arches, and body claddings. The sizes for the wheels range from 13 to 16 inches according to the trim chosen. There is one large glass tailgate in the car's rear end.
Myli boasts several features that will make it attractive to budget-conscious buyers. It includes a 10-inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, power steering, and heated seats. The dashboard is minimalist and has corner air-conditioning vents and a three-spoke steering wheel.
The Ligier Myli could be equipped with three batteries same as Europe model. It meets the range requirements of any user. The smallest, a 4.14 kWh battery, gives it a 63 km charge range. Next is the 8.2 kWh pack, which has a 123 km range. The 12.42 kWh battery pack gives it a 192 km range. It offers a peak output power of 5.6 kW and maximum torque of 10.4 Nm. The Myli seems like an ideal city run car with an efficient, hassle-free driving experience.
Ligier Myli could prove to be a tough competitor for the MG Comet EV in India. The MG Comet is one of the most affordable electric cars in the country now. The ex-showroom price of the Comet falls between Rs. 6.98 lakh to Rs. 9.36 lakh. The Comet has been designed with the latest features such as dual 10.25-inch digital screens and connected car technology.
The Comet EV is powered by a 17.3 kWh battery and is claimed to deliver a range of 230 km on a single charge. The electric motor provides 42 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. Although the Comet is bigger and more feature-loaded, the Myli might attract those seeking an affordable and compact electric car.
The Ligier Myli easily becomes one of the cheapest electric cars in India, a tiny yet stylish urban commuter. But it will face stiff competition from the MG Comet EV, so the compactness, attractive design, and good pricing of the Myli might make a hit for first-time Indian EV buyers. As the Indian electric vehicle market grows, the Myli, could be one of the most affordable new EVs in the lineup.
