New spy images of the Mahindra Thar 5-door have surfaced online. Clad in camouflage the latest test mule has revealed a brand new grille for the upcoming Thar which will make it look unique compared to its 3-door version. Mahindra is likely to launch the Thar 5-door version earlier next year.
As shown in the spy images, the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door features a 6-slat design for the front grille with a horizontal split in the middle. In addition, the grille will be flanked by round headlamps with the LED DRLs placed on the flared fenders. The front bumper will also house a set of fog lamps. Apart from this, Mahindra is expected to introduce new 5-spoke alloy wheels on the upcoming Thar.
Under the hood, the upcoming 5-door version of the 2024 Mahindra Thar will carry the same engine units as the 3-door version. These include a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. While the petrol mill can produce the maximum power of 130 bhp and 300 Nm, the diesel unit can provide 150 bhp with 320 Nm of peak torque. Both engine options are expected to come with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.
The 2025 Kia Carens Clavis is available for bookings at Rs 25,000 - to come in 7 variants and 3 engine options including petrol, turbo petrol and diesel.
