Mahindra Vision S Production Model Spotted – ADAS, Design & Multiple Powertrain

Production-ready Vision S is likely to debut on Independence Day Expected with petrol and diesel powertrain options.

Mahindra & Mahindra has something big planned for this year’s Independence Day. While the specific details are yet to be revealed, the carmaker is expected to unveil the new Mahindra Scorpio N facelift along with the production-ready versions of the upcoming Mahindra Vision S subcompact SUV and Mahindra BE 07 electric SUV. The latest sighting of the Vision S suggests that the SUV is taking final production shape, and is expected to go on sale in 2027.

The spy shots reveal that the front fascia will share a strong resemblance with the Vision S concept, featuring L-shaped LED headlamps and a newly-designed six slat grille. A radar module has also been spotted at the front end, suggesting that the SUV could be offered with an ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite. The images also highlight its high ground clearance.

Vision S Production Front Spied

The subcompact SUV also sports a pronounced lower air dam with a closed-off centre trim and a muscular clamshell bonnet. Other design highlights will include flush door handles, large ORVMs, a flat roofline, a panoramic sunroof, a fuel-filler cap placed above the left-rear wheel arch, vertically stacked LED taillamps, a spare wheel mounted to the side-hinged tailgate, a sharkfin antenna and a short rear spoiler and overhangs. Similar to the Mahindra XUV 7XO, the production-ready Vision S is also expected to feature Mahindra’s DaVinci suspension system.

Interior details remain under wraps. The upcoming Mahindra Vision S SUV is expected to be equipped with dual displays (comprising a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, wireless phone charger, six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold and descent control, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system and Level 2 ADAS.

Mahindra Vision S Production Model Spied

Based on the brand’s all-new modular NU_IQ platform, the Mahindra Vision S is expected to be offered with multiple powertrains including petrol, diesel, electric and hybrid. Select variants could also feature an AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
