Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new-gen Dzire sub-4 meter sedan in the country in November 2025. In fact, clear images of the new Maruti Dzire have already hit the Internet. The big news is that the Indo-Japanese brand will introduce 3 more cars including an electric SUV in our market in 2025. Let's talk in detail about the upcoming Maruti Suzuki cars in the country next year -
Set to be Maruti Suzuki's first fully electric SUV, the eVX in production avatar will make its global debut at the Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025. It will be a global product and will first launch in Europe. India will be the production hub for the upcoming Maruti electric SUV, as it will be manufactured and exported from Suzuki Gujarat based plant. In India, the SUV is expected to arrive sometime in Q1 or Q2, 2025.
Measuring around 4.3 meters in length, the new Maruti Suzuki eVX electric SUV will come with several advanced features. In fact, the SUV design will remain true to its concept. Some of the design highlights include closed-off grille, LED lighting system, an upright nose, a flat bonnet, muscular shoulder creases, coupe-like roofline and connected LED tail-lamps.
Inside the cabin, the Maruti eVX will have a large touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital instrument console, a floating center console with rotary dial, automatic climate control and a 360-degree camera. It could be the first Maruti Suzuki car in India to offer advanced driver assistance system or ADAS. The electric SUV is likely to come with two battery pack choices - a 48kWh and a 60kWh. A front-axle-mounted electric motor will be offered as a standard, while the top-end 60kWh version could also receive a dual-motor AWD drivetrain. The EV with bigger battery pack could offer a claimed range of around 500km on a single charge.
Seeing the growing demand for 3-row SUVs, Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch a 3-row Grand Vitara SUV in the country. The 7-seater Grand Vitara will be launched in our market in the mid-2025. It will be based on the Global C platform that underpins the Brezza and the Grand Vitara. The platform will be modified to accommodate a longer wheelbase and a 3-row SUV.
The SUV will receive subtle design changes and an upgraded interior to differentiate itself from the 5-seater model. It is likely to share the engine options with the Grand Vitara, which includes a 1.5-litre NA petrol with smart hybrid tech and Toyota's 1.5L 3-cylinder petrol with a strong hybrid tech.
The 7-seater Grand Vitara will be the first car to be produced at Maruti Suzuki's new Kharkhoda-based plant in Haryana, which will be operational in 2025. It is likely to offer more features compared to the 5-seater model. The SUV could receive advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and AWD setup, which will make it a more value-for-money and premium offering.
Maruti Suzuki is all set to give a mid-life facelift to the Fronx crossover in the country in 2025. The crossover will receive cosmetic design and interior changes along with new features. The biggest change will be made under the hood. It will be the first model to debut Maruti's new hybrid engine, which will be a series-hybrid unit. The hybrid unit will comprise a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, Z12R engine, a smaller battery pack (1.5-2kWh) and one electric motor. The engine will act as a generator to charge the battery pack.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx facelift will also come with Level 1 ADAS or advanced driver assistance system. It will offer features like Lane Keep Assist, Lane Following Assist, Forward Collision Warning, High-Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Vehicle Departure Alert, and more.
