MG Motor India has increased the prices of its smaller EV, the Comet. Available in three variants, the EV is now priced between Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 9.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Comet EV is offered in three variants namely Executive, Excite, and Exclusive. The prices of the base models (Executive and Excite) remain unchanged. Both are still priced at Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 7.98 lakh, (ex-showroom), respectively.
However, the British automaker has increased the price of the fast charger variants. While the Exclusive with fast charger gets a price of Rs 11,000, the Excite with fast charger is Rs 13,000 more costlier.
Apart from this, the price of the top-spec exclusive variant has increased by Rs 11,800.
The prices of the other variants such as the EverGreen version (100 Year Limited Edition) remain the same at Rs 9.53 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Comet EV has a 17.3 kWh battery pack, offering a certified range of 230 km. A single motor mounted on the rear axle sends the power output of 41 bhp and 110 Nm of max torque. The battery can be charged via a conventional 16 AMP wall socket. Besides, the EV has three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.
