The Indian auto market kicked off the second half of the calendar year 2026 on a high note. Passenger vehicle dispatches in July month reflects strong consumer demand for high-mileage hatchbacks and versatile SUVs.
Maruti Suzuki further improved its overall market position by claiming six positions in the top 10 list - led by high-volume models like the Wagon R, Dzire, Ertiga, Swift and Fronx. On the other hand, Tata Motors has two models - the Tata Punch micro-SUV and Nexon - in the list of top 10 selling cars in July 2026. Hyundai held its ground with the best-selling Creta, and Mahindra made its presence felt with the Scorpio brand.
