Maruti Dzire tops the chart Maruti Suzuki claims six positions in the top 10 list Tata Punch slips to 5th position
The Indian auto market kicked off the second half of the calendar year 2026 on a high note. Passenger vehicle dispatches in July month reflects strong consumer demand for high-mileage hatchbacks and versatile SUVs.
Maruti Suzuki further improved its overall market position by claiming six positions in the top 10 list - led by high-volume models like the Wagon R, Dzire, Ertiga, Swift and Fronx. On the other hand, Tata Motors has two models - the Tata Punch micro-SUV and Nexon - in the list of top 10 selling cars in July 2026. Hyundai held its ground with the best-selling Creta, and Mahindra made its presence felt with the Scorpio brand.
