Most of the car manufacturers including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai and Mahindra have announced to increase prices of their entire line-ups. The new prices will be effective from April 2025. All brands cited rising input costs and operational expenses behind the price hike of cars.
Mahindra is currently selling multiple SUVs including the Thar, Scorpio Classic, Scorpio N, Bolero, Bolero Neo, Thar Roxx, and XUV700. The company's EV range include BE 6, XEV 9e and XUV400. Mahindra has announced to increase the prices of its entire line-up by up to 3 percent. The homegrown UV maker cited rising input costs and commodity prices behind this decision.
Maruti Suzuki has announced to increase prices by up to 4 percent from April 2025. The Invicto, the brand's most expensive model could see the maximum increase in price. Earlier this year, MSIL had increased the prices of its popular cars including Brezza, Alto K10 and others. The rising raw material costs is the main reason behind Maruti's decision of increasing prices of its cars.
Tata Motors has announced to increase prices of its entire line-up from April 2025. The company claims that the rising input costs is the reason behind the price hike. Similarly, Honda will increase the prices of all models including the Amaze, City, City Hybrid and Elevate.
Hyundai and Kia cars will get expensive by up to 3 percent from April onwards. Hyundai line-up has some of the top-selling SUVs including Creta and Venue, while Kia lineup has Seltos, Sonet, Carens and newly launched Syros. Hyundai claims that the riding input costs, increased commodity prices and higher operational expenses are the reason behind this decision. Similarly, Kia said rising commodity prices and increasing supply chain-related costs are the main reasons behind price hike.
Renault is currently selling 3 cars - the Kwid, Kiger and Triber in the Indian market. All three models will witness price hikes of up to 2 percent starting next month. The rising input costs is the main reason behind this decision.
