MG Hector Tomahawk EV Launched in India – 517km Range, 7 Seats, V2H Charging
MG Hector Tomahawk EV launched with a claimed 517km range and 201bhp motor. The electric SUV is available in five-seat and seven-seat versions. Prices start at Rs 19.49 lakh, while BaaS pricing starts at Rs 13.99 lakh.
JSW MG Motor India has launched the Hector Tomahawk EV in India, adding a new three-row electric SUV to its line-up. Based on the brand’s new ADAPT platform, the Hector Tomahawk EV is available in both seven-seat and five-seat versions.
The new electric SUV gets a 69.2kWh battery, a claimed range of up to 517km and a single electric motor producing 201bhp. A plug-in hybrid version is also planned for a later date.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV price
The seven-seat Hector Tomahawk EV is available in three variants. The Excite is priced at Rs 19.49 lakh, while the Exclusive costs Rs 21.99 lakh. The top-spec Essence is priced at Rs 23.49 lakh. The five-seat version is offered only in the Essence variant, priced at Rs 22.99 lakh. These are introductory prices and are applicable to limited units.
MG is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service option for a limited number of units. Under this scheme, the price starts at Rs 13.99 lakh, with a battery rental of Rs 4.9 per km.

517km range and 201bhp electric motor
The Hector Tomahawk EV uses a 69.2kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor. The motor produces 201bhp and 310Nm, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 8.2 seconds. MG claims a range of up to 517km on a single charge. The electric powertrain also gives the three-row SUV instant torque, which should make it easy to drive in city traffic.
V2L and V2H charging technology
One of the biggest highlights of the Hector Tomahawk EV is its charging technology. The SUV gets V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functionality, allowing the battery to power external electrical devices. It also gets V2H (Vehicle-to-Home) technology, which allows the vehicle's battery to supply power to a compatible home. MG is positioning this as an India-first feature.
Seven-seat and five-seat versions
The Hector Tomahawk EV is being offered in two seating configurations. Buyers can choose between a seven-seat layout for greater practicality or a five-seat version with more space for passengers and luggage. The SUV sits above the standard Hector in MG's range and shares its structural DNA with the global Wuling Starlight 560.
Bookings and deliveries
Bookings for the new MG Hector Tomahawk EV are now open for Rs 21,000. Deliveries are scheduled to begin from September 2026. MG is also expected to introduce a plug-in hybrid version of the Hector Tomahawk at a later stage, giving buyers another powertrain option in the three-row SUV segment.
