MG Windsor EV crosses 80,000 sales in two years in India Indulge edition could get new colours, badges and upholstery Existing 38kWh and 52.9kWh battery options are expected to continue
MG Windsor EV has completed two years in India, with sales crossing 80,000 units. To mark the milestone, JSW MG Motor India is preparing a new special edition called the Windsor EV Indulge.
The upcoming edition is expected to get fresh styling and a few exclusive features. While the company has not revealed the launch date or full details yet, the new version is likely to follow the approach of the earlier Windsor EV Inspire edition.
The new MG Windsor EV Indulge edition is expected to receive cosmetic updates to distinguish it from the standard model. These could include a new exterior colour, special edition badges and revised upholstery. The previous Windsor EV Inspire edition came with an integrated dashcam. The Indulge edition could also get additional equipment, although its final feature list has not been confirmed.

The standard MG Windsor EV comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity, ambient lighting and a panoramic glass roof. It also offers a spacious cabin with rear AC vents. The Indulge edition is expected to retain these features, with possible changes to the upholstery and interior trim. More details about its equipment are likely to be revealed closer to the launch.
No mechanical changes are expected with the new special edition. The standard MG Windsor EV comes with a 38kWh battery pack, while the Windsor EV Pro gets a larger 52.9kWh battery. Both versions produce 134bhp and 200Nm of torque, with power sent to the front wheels. The larger battery pack uses prismatic lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells. For charging, the Windsor EV supports 7.4kW AC charging. DC fast-charging support stands at up to 45kW for the standard version and 60kW for the Pro variant.
It remains to be seen whether MG will offer the Indulge edition with the standard Windsor EV, the Windsor EV Pro or both. The earlier Inspire edition was available exclusively with the 38kWh battery version. The company is yet to confirm the Indulge edition's price, launch date and availability. More details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
