New Mercedes V-Class India Launch On March 3 - Toyota Vellfire Rival

Seeing the growing demand for luxury MPVs like Vellfire, MG M9 and Carnival, Mercedes-Benz India has decided to bring back the V-Class luxury people movers. Scheduled to be launched on March 3, 2026, the new Mercedes V-Class luxury MPV will directly rival the Toyota Vellfire. These MPVs are popular among fleet operators and business class. 

In terms of design, the new V-Class MPV gets the modern Mercedes grille, a large rear glass area with vertically-stacked tail-lamps, diamond-cut alloys and sliding second-row doors. It is expected to be offered in both Exclusive and AMG Line trim. Inside the cabin, the luxurious MPV gets dual-digital displays comprising a large touchscreen infotainment unit and a digital driver’s display along with a 3-spoke Mercedes steering wheel.

The new V-Class will come as a 7-seater model, but Mercedes could also offer Exclusive package that has four-seat layout with a swivelling second-row. It is expected to be offered with the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 158bhp of power and 380Nm of torque. 

We expect the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class to cost somewhere between Rs 1.10 crore and Rs 1.25 crore, ex-showroom. In the global markets, the MPV is available in two wheelbase options - 3200mm (Long) and 3430mm (Extra Long). The MPV is available in two seating configurations - 7-seater and 8-seater.
