Next-gen Mahindra Bolero Launch Timeline, Key Details Out

- All-New Mahindra Bolero will be launched by 2026 - It will be based on a new U171 Internal Combustion Platform - The new Bolero will come in multiple seating options

The homegrown utility vehicle maker Mahindra is all set to introduce a wide range of electric vehicles based on the new Skateboard architecture. The company announced to make an investment of around 10,000 crore in the development of its new age EVs. While the brand's focus is on EVs, the company continues to upgrade its ICE vehicles.

In the recent times, we have seen Mahindra reignited the Thar, Scorpio and XUV nameplates and these models have received positive response from buyers. The company is also working on the next generation Bolero utility vehicle, which is expected to be launched sometime in 2026.

New Mahindra Bolero

The next-gen Mahindra Bolero will be designed and developed on an all-new platform, internally codenamed U171. This internal combustion engine platform is expected to be used to develop around 6 different models including SUVs and pick-up trucks. Not just Bolero, Mahindra will also introduce two more SUVs on this platform. These three models are expected to give a combined sales of around 1.5 lakh units per annum.

The current Bolero range includes multiple body styles including pickup trucks. The same is expected with the next-gen Bolero, which is likely to be offered in different body styles, engine options and multiple seating layout.

The next-gen Bolero will also replace the slow-selling Bolero Neo. The 5-seater version will most likely sit under 4 meters in length. It will also have a long wheelbase version, which will be positioned against the hugely popular Force Citiline. This model is likely to be offered in 9-seat configuration with 4 front facing seats. The company will also introduce the new Bolero pickups, which will come with competitive pricing.
