Tata Sierra EV and Tiago EV Facelift Launching in 2026

Tata Motors has recently launched the Punch EV facelift, which comes with a bigger battery pack and aggressive price tag. The homegrown automaker will launch two more electric vehicles, including the Sierra EV and the Tiago EV facelift in the country this year. While the new Tata Sierra EV is scheduled to be launched in Q2, 2026 (between April and June), the Tiago EV facelift is expected to be launched by festive season, before Diwali.

Tata Sierra EV

The new Sierra EV will be based on the Acti.ev platform that also underpins the Curvv EV and Punch EV. It will rival the likes of the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. The electric SUV is expected to be offered with two battery choices, including a 55kWh from Curvv EV and 65kWh from Harrier EV. It will be a front-wheel-drive electric SUV, but the higher-spec model with 65kWh battery will get a dual-motor AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) setup.

We expect the new Sierra EV to offer a realistic range of around 400-450km in a single charge. It will feature a triple screen dashboard comprising a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch co-occupant screen and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. In terms of features, the electric SUV will have LED lighting system, ventilated and powered front seats, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, LEVEL 2 ADAS, electronic parking brake with auto-hold and others.

Tata Tiago EV Facelift

Tata Motors has started testing the new Tiago EV facelift on the Indian roads. The spotted model is covered in thick cloth, but it is expected to come with significant changes. It is expected to get new headlamps, LED DRLs, blanked-off front and new lower bumper. The spotted model has new fog lamp housing, new ORVMs and new tail-lights. It is also likely to get a 360-degree surround view camera.

Inside the cabin, the electric SUV is likely to get a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, new steering wheel with illuminated logo, new instrument console and new rear view camera. The big changes could be made in terms of powertrain. It is likely to get a bigger battery, which will have more prismatic battery cells similar to the ones offered with the 2026 Punch EV facelift. The current model is offered with two battery choices - 19.2kWh and 24kWh.
