Tata Motors is all set to introduce a wide range of new SUVs in the country before the end of this financial year. What’s interesting is that the homegrown automaker is set to introduce 4 new SUVs in the month of November and December 2025. Tata Motors plans to launch the Sierra ICE, Harrier and Safari Petrol, Sierra EV before the end of this year. Moreover, the Punch facelift is also getting ready to hit the Indian roads.

The new Sierra will measure around 4.3 meters in length, and will be marketed as a lifestyle SUV. Its ICE version will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris, and the upcoming Renault Duster and Nissan Tekton. The Sierra EV will rival the Mahindra BE 6 and MG ZS EV.
The Tata Sierra will be offered with 3 engine choices, including a 1.5L, 4-cylinder NA petrol, a 1.5L turbocharged petrol and a 2.0L turbo diesel. The electric SUV is expected to share the powertrains with Harrier EV, which is available with 65kWh and 75kWh LFP battery packs. It will be a front-wheel-drive SUV; however, the top-end model could get a dual-motor AWD set-up.

Both SUVs will be powered by a new 1.5-litre TGDi direct injection turbo petrol engine, which was first revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo. This engine churns out 170hp at 5,000rpm and 280Nm of torque between 2,000rpm - 3,500rpm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission).
