Tata to Launch Sierra ICE and EV before the end of this year Harrier and Safari to get 1.5L turbo petrol engine Tata Punch facelift to receive design and interior changes
Tata Motors is all set to introduce a wide range of new SUVs in the country before the end of this financial year. What’s interesting is that the homegrown automaker is set to introduce 4 new SUVs in the month of November and December 2025. Tata Motors plans to launch the Sierra ICE, Harrier and Safari Petrol, Sierra EV before the end of this year. Moreover, the Punch facelift is also getting ready to hit the Indian roads.
Tata Motors will preview its all-new Sierra lifestyle SUV in mid-November 2025. Moreover, the Harrier and Safari petrol will launch by the end of November. The Tata Sierra EV could be revealed in December, while the Sierra ICE is likely to be launched in November 2025.

The new Sierra will measure around 4.3 meters in length, and will be marketed as a lifestyle SUV. Its ICE version will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris, and the upcoming Renault Duster and Nissan Tekton. The Sierra EV will rival the Mahindra BE 6 and MG ZS EV.
The Tata Sierra will be offered with 3 engine choices, including a 1.5L, 4-cylinder NA petrol, a 1.5L turbocharged petrol and a 2.0L turbo diesel. The turbo petrol engine is capable of producing 170hp and 280Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. The diesel engine produces 170hp and 350Nm, and is paired to either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The Sierra EV is based on Tata’s Acti.ev architecture that underpins the Curvv EV. The electric SUV is expected to share the powertrains with Harrier EV, which is available with 65kWh and 75kWh LFP battery packs. It will be a front-wheel-drive SUV; however, the top-end model could get a dual-motor AWD set-up.
The Tata Sierra lifestyle will come with a triple screen dashboard comprising a central infotainment unit, an instrument panel and a co-occupant entertainment screen. Other features could include a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, ventilated front and rear seats, dual-zone climate control, LEVEL 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera and others.

Both SUVs will be powered by a new 1.5-litre TGDi direct injection turbo petrol engine, which was first revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo. This engine churns out 170hp at 5,000rpm and 280Nm of torque between 2,000rpm - 3,500rpm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission).
The Tata Punch facelift will come with subtle design changes along with an interior upgrades along with a longer list of features. The SUV will have a new front fascia with design elements shared with the Punch EV. It comes with a revised front grille in-line with Nexon, a reworked bumper and restyled headlamp set-up. Other changes include new alloys, new LED tail-lamps and a revised tailgate design.
Inside the cabin, the small SUV will have a new two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, and a larger free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit. It is likely to get a ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker music system, blind spot monitoring and 6-airbags as standard. It will continue to be offered with the existing 87bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder, NA petrol engine.
