Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for major SUV launches by 2026. The e Vitara will be the brand's first all-electric SUV. A new 7-seater Grand Vitara and Fronx Hybrid are also on the way!
Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce several new SUVs over the next few years. As the demand for SUVs in India continues to grow, the company is preparing to launch models across different categories, including electric, hybrid, and compact SUVs.
Here’s a look at the top four Maruti Suzuki SUVs expected to arrive by 2026.
Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its first electric SUV, the e Vitara, in late 2025 or early 2026. The e Vitara will be available at Nexa showrooms and is already being sold in Europe, with over 6,000 units exported.
The e Vitara will be built on a special platform designed for electric vehicles, offering a high level of safety. It will come with two battery options, and the larger battery will offer a range of over 500 km on a full charge. Inside, it will have a large touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, an all-digital dashboard, and advanced safety features like Level 2 ADAS. The SUV will also offer ventilated seats for added comfort.

Maruti Suzuki is working on a 7-seater version of the Grand Vitara, expected to launch between 2026 and 2027. This larger model will compete with other 7-seater SUVs like the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, and Hyundai Alcazar.
The new Grand Vitara 7-seater will come with two engine options - a 1.5L petrol engine and a 1.5L hybrid engine developed with Toyota. It might also use a 2.0L hybrid powertrain found in the Innova Hycross. This SUV will offer more space, comfort, and luxury, making it a great choice for families.
Maruti Suzuki will introduce a hybrid version of the Fronx in 2026. The new Fronx Hybrid will use a 1.2L petrol engine that acts as a generator to charge the battery, which powers an electric motor. This hybrid setup will help improve fuel efficiency.
The facelifted Fronx will also get some updates, like a sunroof and more interior features. The Fronx Hybrid is expected to deliver an impressive fuel efficiency of over 35 kmpl, making it a great choice for those looking to save on fuel costs while still enjoying a stylish compact SUV.
Maruti Suzuki is developing a micro SUV, expected to launch between late 2026 and early 2027. This new SUV will sit below the Brezza and compete with other entry-level SUVs like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter.
What makes this micro SUV stand out is its use of Maruti’s new strong hybrid powertrain. This will help make the SUV more fuel-efficient while keeping the price affordable. It will be a perfect option for those who want the practicality of an SUV in a smaller, more affordable package.
