Many automakers are launching the dark or black edition for their popular cars. Recently, Toyota has also introduced the exclusive Black Edition for Hilux in India. It is priced at Rs 37.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition comes with all-black design details with agressive look. However, there are no changes made to the powertrain.
Bookings for the Toyota Hilux Black Edition are now open at all Toyota dealerships in India, with deliveries starting in March 2025.
Customers can also explore the Hilux Black Edition online through Toyota’s Virtual Showroom, which offers a 360-degree view of its interiors, exteriors, and features.

Visually, the Hilux Black Edition features a bold black-themed exterior. Key design upgrades include a black front grille, muscular bonnet line, and 18-inch black alloy wheels with custom hub caps.
Additionally, there are black accents on the ORVMs, door handles, fender garnish, and fuel lid. The front bumper includes an Under Run, while LED headlights and LED rear combination lamps provide a distinctive lighting setup.
The Hilux Black Edition features a premium cabin with leather upholstery and a dual-zone fully automatic climate control system. It comes with an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Smart Entry with Engine Push Start/Stop Button, and an 8-way powered driver seat. Other essential features include a reverse parking camera with an audio display, an electrochromic IRVM, automatic headlamps, cruise control, and electric adjust & retract black ORVMs.
Toyota Hilux Black Edition is equipped with 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Traction Control (TC), and Automatic Limited Slip Differential (ALSD) for improved handling and control.
In addition, it also features Hill Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) for safer driving on inclines and rough terrains. Front parking sensors provide added convenience in tight spaces.
The Hilux Black Edition is powered by a 2.8-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. This engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering 201 bhp and 500 Nm torque. Its 4X4 drivetrain ensures a smooth off-road experience. Built on Toyota’s IMV platform, it offers advanced safety features, best-in-class comfort, 500 Nm torque, and a 700mm water wading capacity.
