Maruti Brezza facelift launching with a turbo-petrol engine. The ZR-V will become the first hybrid Honda SUV in India. The rugged Hilux pickup truck comes with all-new design and more features.
The remaining days of July 2026 are set to be action-packed for the Indian automobile industry, with three major products are scheduled over the next 10 days. Maruti Suzuki will introduce the new Brezza facelift on July 24 with a turbocharged petrol engine and several significant updates. Meanwhile, Honda Cars India will announce the prices of its first hybrid SUV, the ZR-V, on July 20, while the next-generation Toyota Hilux pickup truck will go on sale on July 28, 2026.
Bookings for the new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift are already underway for a token sum of Rs 11,000. As part of the midlife update, the Brezza will receive a new 1.0L Boosterjet turbo petrol engine, borrowed from the Fronx compact crossover. Currently, it’s the only vehicle in its segment that does not offer a turbo-petrol engine. This new engine will be exclusively offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and CNG powertrain options will continue to be offered.
Minimal changes will be made inside and out. The new Brezza is likely to get an updated cabin theme, new seat upholstery and trim along with a larger touchscreen. On the exterior, the subcompact SUV will feature a newly-designed grille, headlamps connected by a thin red strip and revised bumper. Other design highlights will include newly-designed alloy wheels, revised rear bumper, new ‘Brezza’ branding on the tailgate and slightly repositioned fog lamps.

In India, the Honda ZR-V will be available with a 2.0L, four-cylinder petrol engine paired with dual-motor strong hybrid system. Its combined power and torque output stand at 184bhp and 315Nm, respectively. The new Honda hybrid SUV features an e-CVT gearbox, sending power to the front wheels. It does 0 to 100kmph in 8 seconds and offers a top speed of 172kmph. Honda claims that the ZR-V offers a fuel efficiency of 22.79kmpl.
Visually, the India-spec Honda ZR-V looks sporty with all LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, and connected taillamps. Inside the cabin, the hybrid SUV offers a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, wireless smartphone connectivity, a wireless phone charger, leatherette upholstery, an 8-way powered driver’s seat, Level 2 ADAS and more.
Built on the body-on-frame IMV platform, the new-generation Toyota Hilux will feature the brand’s new global design language. Upfront, the pickup truck carries a honeycomb grille, LED headlamps, ‘TOYOTA’ lettering on the plastic trim and a sliver skid plate. The black wheel arches and rims, roll bars, a redesigned tailgate with ‘TOYOTA’ badging and revised rear bumper with an integrated step will further enhance its rugged and sporty appearance.
Under the hood, the 2026 Toyota Hilux is expected to retain the existing 2.8L, four-cylinder diesel engine generating power worth 204bhp with 420Nm of torque with the manual transmission and 500Nm with the automatic gearbox.
