Four new cars are set to launch before the end of July. MG, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota and Honda all have new models lined up. Expect new hybrid technology, updated features and fresh designs.
The second half of July is going to be an exciting time for car buyers in India. Four major carmakers are preparing to launch new models across different segments, ranging from compact SUVs to premium hybrids and lifestyle vehicles. MG, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota and Honda will all introduce new products before the month comes to an end. Here's everything you need to know.
MG will enter India's plug-in hybrid segment on July 16 with a new SUV that is expected to be called the Hector Hawk. The SUV is likely to be based on the global Wuling Starlight 560 and will combine a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and a 20.5 kWh battery pack. It is expected to offer a much longer electric-only driving range than conventional strong hybrids. MG is also expected to introduce a fully electric version of the SUV at a later stage, further expanding its EV lineup in India.

Maruti Suzuki will launch the updated 2026 Brezza on July 23 with several cosmetic and feature upgrades. The refreshed SUV is expected to get a redesigned front end, updated LED lighting, new alloy wheels and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other expected highlights include a 6-speed manual gearbox, an underfloor CNG tank for improved luggage space, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car features and automatic climate control. The familiar 1.5-litre petrol and CNG powertrain options are expected to continue.
Toyota is all set to introduce the new-generation Hilux in India on July 28. The pickup truck gets a fresh exterior design along with a completely redesigned cabin inspired by Toyota's latest Land Cruiser models. The dashboard will feature larger digital displays and a more premium layout than before. Under the bonnet, the Hilux is expected to continue with the 2.8-litre diesel engine, while select variants are also likely to get a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for better efficiency and smoother performance.
Honda will soon launch the ZR-V Hybrid, which will become the brand's flagship SUV in India. The premium SUV will arrive as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and is expected to be priced above Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be powered by Honda's strong hybrid system and is expected to offer features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, Level 2 ADAS and a premium interior.
