Vietnamese EV maker VinFast is preparing to expand its electric vehicle lineup in India. While the brand is already set to launch the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs (both 5-seaters), a new model is now in the spotlight – the company’s first 7-seater electric SUV for the Indian market.

After opening its first manufacturing plant outside Vietnam in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, VinFast has trademarked the design of a new electric 7-seater in India. Known as the VinFast Limo Green in its home market, the model is listed as a “Service Vehicle” rather than a passenger car on the company’s website, making it appealing to fleet operators as well as large families.
In Vietnam, it is marketed as an MPV, but in India, it could be positioned as an SUV to match market preferences. The design features a sleek front fascia with a connected LED light bar, vertically stacked headlamps, a sporty SUV-style silhouette, and rugged body cladding.
The VinFast Limo Green measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,728 mm in height, with a 2,840 mm wheelbase. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and offers a 170 mm ground clearance.
Powering the Limo Green is a 60.13 kWh battery pack, delivering up to 450 km range on a single charge (NEDC). The front-wheel-drive EV produces 201 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, with three driving modes – Eco, Comfort, and Sport. Fast DC charging can replenish the battery from 10% to 70% in about 30 minutes.
Inside, the Limo Green gets:
- 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Leatherette upholstery
- 360-degree camera
- Floating centre console
- Three-row seating for up to 7 passengers
- Premium chrome detailing
In Vietnam, deliveries for the VinFast Limo Green began on August 5, 2025, about four months after bookings opened. It is priced at VND 749 million (approx. Rs 25 lakh), including a 7-year/1,60,000 km warranty and free charging at all V-Green public stations.
If launched in India at a similar price, it will compete with BYD eMAX 7, Kia Carens Clavis EV, and the upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e. With rising demand for electric 7-seaters, the VinFast Limo Green could be a strong contender in the Indian EV market.
