The much-anticipated 2025 Kia Carens Clavis is all set to go on sale in the country today. Kia has confirmed that the new Clavis is available in 7 broad variants - HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O), HTX and HTX Plus. It comes as a more premium MPV and will be sold alongside the Kia Carens, which is now available in a single trim level.
Interested customers can book the new Carens Clavis online or at authorised Kia India dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000, which is refundable on cancellation. The new premium MPV is estimated to be priced somewhere around Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. It will rival the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, XL6 and the Toyota Rumion.
The new Carens Clavis is available in three engine options - 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel. The NA unit produces 115PS and 144Nm, and is paid to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The turbocharged petrol engine churns out 160PS and 253Nm of torque. Gearbox choices include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT. The oil burner is good for 116PS and 250Nm of torque, and is paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
