MG Motor India is gearing up to launch a refreshed version of its popular Hector SUV in 2026. Known for its success in the electric vehicle (EV) segment with models like the Comet EV and ZS EV, the company is now shifting focus back to its internal combustion engine (ICE) SUVs. Spy shots of the 2026 MG Hector facelift have recently surfaced, offering a sneak peek at the updates that will set it apart from its competitors in the mid-size SUV segment.

The spy shots show a test mule of the upcoming Hector facelift, and while the car is covered in camouflage, some design changes are already noticeable. The rear of the SUV will also feature a new bumper with slight changes to the design, ensuring the 2026 model stands out in the segment.

The current Hector already has sleek LED DRLs that double up as turn indicators, and it seems these elements will be carried over to the new model. The LED headlight setup, bonnet, and radar position for ADAS will likely remain unchanged. The test mule’s sheet metal and lighting elements remain similar to the current Hector, indicating that MG is focusing on a design refresh rather than a complete overhaul.
