Japanese automaker, Suzuki has revealed the new Across SUV for the global markets. To be sold across Europe, the new Suzuki Across SUV will be the brand’s flagship electric offering.

The Across is based on the sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 plug-in hybrid that debuted last year. The SUV is built on Toyota’s TNGA-K modular platform. Powering the new Suzuki Across is a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder, petrol engine paired with dual electric motor and a 22.7kWh battery pack, offering a combined power output of 302bhp. The power is transmitted to all-4 wheels via Suzuki’s e-Four all-wheel-drive system. The SUV is claimed to achieve up to 75km drive only on electric mode. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 6.1 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 180kmph.
The Suzuki Across dimensions are similar to the RAV4, and changes are only visual. The SUV gets a large front grille, flanked by sharp LED headlamps. It comes with a sculpted bonnet, and a new bumper. The SUV rides on Suzuki specific 18-inch alloy wheels, while the rear design looks exactly similar to the RAV4, except for the Suzuki logo and Across badge.
Inside the cabin, the new Across gets a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with smartphone connectivity, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a dual-zone climate control. It comes equipped with electrically adjustable front seats, hands free electric tailgate, a wireless smartphone charger, lumbar support for the driver seat, and heating function for the front seats.

As standard, the SUV gets five type-C USB ports, 360-degree surround view camera, adaptive cruise control, Head-Up display, and LEVEL 2 ADAS tech. The ADAS features include adaptive cruise control, lane assist, automatic emergency braking, emergency steering assist, and others.
