Audi's 5 New Cars for India - Q3, A5, Q5, Q7 and Q9 Explained

New Q3 and A5 will lead Audi's next wave of India launches. Q5 and Q7 will bring newer technology and updated powertrains. Flagship Q9 will sit above the Q7 and target the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.

Audi is preparing to refresh its India line-up with five new models across the next two years. The upcoming products include the new-generation Q3, A5, Q5, Q7 and the flagship Q9.

The new arrivals will give Audi a stronger presence across both the premium car and luxury SUV segments. The company is also working on local assembly and a wider dealership network to support its future product plans.

Here is what we know about each upcoming Audi model.

1. Audi Q3: First Major Arrival

The next-generation Q3 is expected to reach India towards the end of 2026, making it the first major launch in Audi's upcoming product cycle. The new SUV gets a more modern exterior, a redesigned cabin and additional technology. India is expected to receive a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine developing around 204hp, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system is also expected to be available. Inside, the Q3 could feature an 11.9-inch digital instrument display and a 12.8-inch infotainment screen. A panoramic sunroof and three-zone climate control are also expected. The new Q3 will continue to compete against the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

Expected launch: October-December 2026
Expected price: Around Rs 60 lakh

2. Audi A5: A New Replacement for the A4

Audi's next important launch will be the new A5, which will replace the A4 in India. The A5 is based on Audi's Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture and gets a more modern design than the outgoing A4. The cabin also receives a major technology upgrade.

The India-spec car is expected to use a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with around 204hp. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is likely to handle transmission duties. The India version could be offered with front-wheel drive, unlike some international versions that get all-wheel drive.

Expected launch: February 2027
Expected price: Around Rs 70 lakh

3. Audi Q5: More Technology and Power

The Q5 will be another key model in Audi's India portfolio. The new-generation SUV is expected to arrive around the 2027 festive season. Unlike the Q3, the Q5 is expected to get a more powerful 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing around 265hp.

A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Quattro AWD are expected to be part of the India-spec package. The new Q5 will also bring a more advanced cabin. Its dashboard features an 11.9-inch digital driver's display and a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, with a separate passenger display potentially available as an option. The Q5 will go up against the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.

Expected launch: Around October 2027
Expected price: Around Rs 75 lakh

4. Audi Q7: Bigger Luxury SUV Upgrade

The next-generation Q7 will sit higher up in Audi's SUV range and is expected to arrive in India by the end of 2027. Audi is expected to retain the Q7's familiar large SUV proportions while giving it a redesigned front end. The SUV will feature the brand's Singleframe grille, Digital Matrix LED headlights and OLED tail-lights.

Customers could get a choice between six- and seven-seat configurations. The six-seat version is expected to feature captain seats in the second row.

A 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine is expected to power the India-spec Q7, with Quattro AWD also likely to be offered.

Expected launch: Around December 2027
Expected price: Around Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom)

At the top of the upcoming range will be the Audi Q9. The Q9 will become Audi's flagship SUV, positioned above the Q7 and Q8. It will target large luxury SUVs such as the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.

The India-spec model is expected to use a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine producing around 367hp and 550Nm. An 8-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive are expected. With its size, equipment and positioning, the Q9 will also sit at the top of Audi's India price range.

Expected launch: Second half of 2027
Expected price: Rs 1.40 crore-Rs 1.50 crore
