Hyundai Bayon N Line spotted testing with sporty design changes. Second-gen Hyundai Bayon to get a boxier SUV-like design. Hyundai Bayon India launch expected in mid to late 2026.
Hyundai is gearing up for a busy 2026 in India with multiple new launches and facelifts. Test mules of an upcoming sub-4-metre electric SUV and the Exter facelift have already been spotted. Adding to this list, Hyundai will also introduce the second-generation Hyundai Bayon in India.
Recent spy shots have now revealed a sporty Hyundai Bayon N Line variant undergoing road tests, giving a clear hint at what to expect from the India-spec model.

Codenamed BC4i CUV, the upcoming Hyundai Bayon adopts a boxier and more SUV-like design compared to the outgoing model’s hatchback-inspired profile. This change is expected to help it take on rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx in the compact crossover segment.
The spotted test mule confirms that Hyundai is also planning an N Line version for those looking for a sportier option.

The spy images show several visual upgrades on the Hyundai Bayon N Line. Up front, the sporty variant gets a satin silver garnish on the redesigned front bumper, replacing the plain matte black finish seen on the standard model. Hyundai is also expected to revise the grille and lower air dam to enhance the aggressive look, though changes to the LED headlights and DRLs are yet to be confirmed.
On the sides, the N Line version stands out with larger two-tone alloy wheels featuring ‘N’ branding. The matte black lower cladding seen on the regular model has been replaced with a gloss-black finish. Gloss-black elements are also visible on the doors and window surrounds, while the roof rails are smaller and finished in black for a sportier touch.

At the rear, the Hyundai Bayon N Line gets a revised bumper design, twin exhaust tips and a gloss-black diffuser-like element. The roof spoiler also looks more aggressive than the standard version.

Interior changes on the N Line variant are expected to be subtle. While the dashboard and steering wheel of the test mule were covered, the overall layout is likely to remain similar to the standard Bayon-based compact SUV. The most noticeable update is the red piping on the seats, which extends to the rear headrests as well. Hyundai may also add N Line branding on the seats, floor mats and door sills in the production version.
Hyundai has not revealed official powertrain details yet. However, the India-spec Hyundai Bayon is expected to get a new 1.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine in standard variants. This engine could also be offered on the N Line version.
Entry-level variants may use the familiar 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine seen on the Venue and i20 N Line. Hyundai is also expected to retune the suspension on the N Line variant for a sportier driving feel. The platform will be shared with the global-spec Bayon.
The Hyundai Bayon India launch is expected around October 2026, with some reports pointing to a early 2027. The compact crossover is likely to be priced between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
While it won’t be a full-blown N model, the Hyundai Bayon N Line is expected to command a premium over the standard version due to its sporty design and mechanical tweaks.
