Kia has announced that it will be hosting its second annual EV Day in Tarragona, Spain. The event is going to be a showcase of the brand's latest electric vehicles, concepts, and technologies. It is very likely that at the showcase, the highlight would be the debut of the Kia EV4 which was revealed as a concept last year along with the Kia PV5 a dedicated PBV model introduced as a concept.
Apart from the debut of these two new upcoming electric cars, the brand will unveil the EV2 concept.
A teaser image for the EV2 concept has been released by the Korean automakers that features what seems to be a compact crossover. In the image, we see a car with a baby blue paint finish and a contrasting black roof. The concept car appears to feature two-piece headlights, a small vertical element sitting inboard of a longer LED strip, and chunky plastic cladding can be seen all around the car's lower half.
It can be said that with the production-spec of this concept, the brand could replace the Picanto hatchback as the entry-level model in the international market.
Through the teaser videos and images, the EV4 is much more likely to have a coupe-SUV body style and resemblance to the Seltos' size. This electric car will be unveiled at the event in its full production form. For now, we can assume through the teaser that the car's fascia would feature vertically oriented headlights, a sloping roofline toward the back, and sides with thick plastic cladding.
Moreover, the EV4's backside features boomerang-shaped tail lamps and a mild extrusion on the boot lid that looks like a lip spoiler.
Along with the concept and EV4, there will be a third star from Kia at the event. PV5 is the production-spec of an electric van concept that will be revealed by the company.
Through some teaser images, the van seems to have a boxy yet minimalist design finish and a dual-tone color theme. There are thin vertically mounted rectangular tail lamps with distinctive S-shaped headlights.
