Domestic SUV Sales Lead the Growth

A significant contributor to Mahindra’s stellar performance was the growth in domestic SUV sales. Mahindra sold 56,336 units of its SUVs in India, marking a significant 22% increase compared to November 2024. When exports are factored in, the total utility vehicle sales for the month surged to 57,598 units. This growth was driven by sustained demand for its latest models and electric variants.

Commercial Vehicle Growth

On the commercial vehicle front, Mahindra saw an increase in sales, with 24,843 units sold domestically in November 2025. This marked a 17% rise from the previous year. The light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment in the 2 to 3.5 tonne category played a significant role in this growth, with sales climbing 20% to reach 21,588 units. Meanwhile, the sub-2 tonne LCV segment experienced more modest growth, reaching 3,255 units; a 5% year-on-year improvement.

Electric and Three-Wheeler Growth

Mahindra’s electric vehicle (EV) segment continued to grow as well. The company’s last-mile mobility arm saw a 7% increase in three-wheeler sales, with a total of 8,568 units sold. This is part of Mahindra's broader strategy to expand its electric offerings, which includes the XEV 9e and the newly launched XEV 9S, a three-row all-electric SUV.

Exports Contribute to the Growth

Exports also contributed positively to Mahindra’s November sales, with the company shipping 2,923 units overseas (a 5% increase from the previous year). Mahindra's export performance has been solid throughout 2025, with year-to-date exports growing by 30% to reach 27,241 units.

Year-to-Date Performance

From April to November 2025, Mahindra has sold 4,25,530 utility vehicles in the Indian market, marking an 18% increase over the same period in 2024. Additionally, the LCV segment in the 2 to 3.5 tonne category grew by 13%, reaching 1,62,946 units, while the three-wheeler segment saw a significant 28% rise, totaling 74,908 units.

Mahindra’s Growing Electric Portfolio

November 2025 also marked the first anniversary of Mahindra’s born electric XEV 9e and BS 6. The company introduced the XEV 9S, its first all-electric three-row SUV, with a starting price of Rs. 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The event in Bengaluru also featured the BE 6 Formula E Edition, showcasing Mahindra’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup.
