The homegrown UV maker, Mahindra has showcased 4 new concepts - Vision S, Vision X, Vision T and Vision SXT on the occasion of Independence Day 2025. The company has also launched a new special BE Batman Edition, which is limited to only 300 units. Mahindra will launch two new electric SUVs, including the XEV 7e or XUV700 electric in the country before the end of this financial year.
The new Mahindra 7-seater electric SUV, the XEV 7e will go on sale in the first quarter of 2026, between January and March. This model will join the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUV Coupes, both based on Mahindra’s new INGLO Born-electric platform.
The new Mahindra XEV 7e will be a full-sized 7-seater electric SUV targeting family buyers. It will share the platform, powertrains, features and design language with the Mahindra XEV 9e. The new model will be the flagship model in the brand’s BORN EV line-up, and is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 23 lakh to Rs 32 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India.
The 7-seater electric SUV is likely to share its powertrains with the XEV 9e, which is offered with the 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery pack options. The XEV 9e is only available in a rear wheel avatar, but the XEV 7e will have a dual-motor AWD set-up. The bigger battery pack should offer a range of over 500km in a single charge.
The new Mahindra XEV 7e comes equipped with a triple screen setup comprising a 12.3-inch central infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a 12.3-inch co-passenger entertainment unit. The electric SUV will have two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, captain seats in the second-row (Bench-Type in 7-seater version), and leatherette upholstery for seats, steering and door trims.
The new Mahindra XEV 7e will share most of its premium features with the XEV 9e. It is likely to get features like panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, front ventilated seats, auto dimming IRVM, Augmented reality HUD, wireless smartphone charger for each row of seat, multi-colour ambient lighting and others. The SUV will also come with auto park feature and front parking sensors. It will get LEVEL 2 ADAS with features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, and others.
