Tata Sierra and Hyundai Creta are two standout SUVs in the Indian market, each bringing its own set of features and appeal. While the Creta has long been a favourite for those seeking a well-rounded, modern SUV, the upcoming Tata Sierra 2025 is generating excitement with its bold, retro-inspired design and smart technology.
Here are five reasons why the Sierra might just have the upper hand over the Creta.
One of the most talked-about highlights of the Tata Sierra 2025 is its triple-screen dashboard. Expected to include a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a large central infotainment screen, and a passenger-side screen, it clearly outshines the Creta’s twin 10.25-inch setup. This gives the Sierra a more futuristic and premium cabin experience.

Tata Sierra 2025 is likely to be offered with more powerful engine options compared to the Hyundai Creta. Expected powertrains include a 1.5L turbo petrol (170PS/280Nm) and a 2.0L diesel (170PS/350Nm). These are set to deliver stronger performance than the Creta’s 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. Therefore, the Sierra becomes a better choice for those who want extra punch under the hood.
Tata Sierra EV is expected to offer advanced drivetrain options like All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or even Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD). This will not only improve traction but also boosts its off-road capability. However, the Creta SUV does not provide such off-road capabilities despite being the best selling SUV from the Hyundai.
Another standout feature is the lounge variant of the Tata Sierra EV. This premium four-seater layout will have reclining rear lounge seats, ottoman functions, and a spacious, business-class-like cabin experience. On the other hand, the Creta continues with a conventional five-seater setup, without any such premium lounge-inspired option.
Both SUVs focus on modern interiors, but the Sierra is expected to pack in more premium features. Highlights include ventilated and powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, ambient lighting, a powered tailgate, a built-in dashcam, a HUD, and a premium sound system. While the Hyundai Creta offers plenty of tech, it misses out on features like a powered tailgate and triple-screen dashboard, giving the Sierra an extra edge.
